APP Review Program
Fast-track your security career with ASIS International’s certification, the Associate Protection Professional (APP), that is now available to security professionals interested in demonstrating security management expertise and commitment to management and colleagues. If you are interested achieving your APP designation and looking for a fast-tracked and systematic way to assess your current knowledge of security management and prepare for the APP Certification exam, you’ll want to attend ASIS International’s official APP Review Course, developed specifically for security professionals with one to four years of security management experience.
The accelerated two-day review course is designed to provide a high-level overview of the four APP Certification knowledge domains in an environment that facilitates professional knowledge assessments, discussions with colleagues, and guidance from board-certified instructors.

Who Should Attend
The APP Board Certification is for those with one to four years of security management experience and measures the professional’s knowledge of security management fundamentals, business operations, risk management, and response management. Instructor

Jamie Ridenhour, CPP
Jamie has broad knowledge over the last 10 years of steadily growing scope and responsibility within DSI Security Services. He is currently serving as National Training and Compliance Manager for DSI Security Services’ company footprint. Jamie’s cored responsibility is to ensure compliance with a multitude of federal and state regulatory mandates and administrate training and educational programs across our company to better serve our 4500+ employees, 600+ clients, and the overall security industry community. During his career with DSI, he has held positions including payroll and scheduling coordination, Operations management, Branch management, and finally corporate level management. Jamie has had the opportunity to expand his knowledge base in Assessments, Security Program Implementation, Human Resource management, Security Management, Facility Management, Business Operations, Corporate Security, Risk Management, and Crisis mitigation and Response. Jamie is also a frequent lecturer on security topics including but not limited to Crisis Mitigation, Active Assailant, Emergency Response, Business Continuity, Balancing Security and Culture, and the occasional off-topic.

This class enables you to identify your areas of strength and knowledge gaps in the seven key domains to develop a personalized study plan—focused on the areas YOU need most. The classroom experience encourages networking with your peers and board-certified instructors.
The CPP Review Program is intended to supplement your other exam preparation activities and includes a copy of the ASIS CPP Study Manual as part of your registration. that you will receive with your classroom materials.

Instructors

Jennifer Holcomb, PE, PMP, PSP, CPP, CPD
Jennifer is a senior manager and licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of experience as a technical security subject-matter expert (SME) with specific experience in security assessments, design, and management. She has provided security services to multiple military and federal facilities, state and municipal facilities, and private industry and commercial facilities across the country. Because she has both security expertise and project management skills, she is routinely sought after to advise, assess, and provide security services to her clients. Jennifer is skilled and experienced in developing designs, plans, policies, and procedures for security-related projects. She is an active member of multiple industry organizations, including ASIS, ACSE, InfraGard, and the FBICAAA. Jennifer currently serves as a director on the ASIS International Professional Standards Board.

Dennis Shepp, MBA, CPP, PCI
Dennis graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University. Dennis Shepp was the professional development advisor for a major international energy company based in the Middle East, managing a complete protective services curriculum re-engineering project. He has over 40-years experience as a security management and investigative practitioner. Dennis joined ASIS International in 1983 as a pioneering member of the first chapter in Canada, Edmonton 156. He has been an avid volunteer at the chapter, regional and international levels, having served 2-terms on the Professional Certification Board and faculty on various educational programs. In 2017, Dennis developed and delivered a CPP and PSP Review Program for members of ASIS Middle East Chapter (Dhahran) and was a subject matter expert for the development of the ASIS Online CPP Review Project, and currently for the CPP Review Manual Project and more recently the APP Review Manual Project. Dennis is a Life Member of ASIS International, CPP, PCI and CFE. Dennis currently resides in the BEAUTIFUL Okanagan Valley, in Kelowna, BC CANADA.

The Physical Security Professional (PSP) Review Program is an accelerated course that provides a high-level overview of the security concepts and practices assessed on the PSP exam. This class enables you to identify your areas of strength and weakness in the three key domains to develop a personalized study plan—focused on the areas YOU need most. The classroom experience encourages networking with your peers and board-certified instructors.
The PSP Review is intended to supplement your other exam preparation activities. The primary resource for study is the Reference Set for the Exam. PSP Review Faculty have curated a targeted set of materials to organize your study that you will receive with your classroom materials.

Kevin Doss, MS, CPP, PSP
Kevin has over 30 years of experience providing protective services in high-risk environments across the globe. As a consultant, Mr. Doss has worked with the US Naval Special Warfare Development Group, the US Department of Homeland Security, and the United States Secret Service, along with many other federal and state agencies. His experience includes performing a Threat, Vulnerability Risk Assessment of the entire 51-mile Canal Zone in Panama. Kevin is a Subject Matter Expert and instructor on matters involving active shooters and workplace violence, physical security, and the protection of Critical Infrastructure.

Lee Neutzling, PSP
Lee Neutzling currently holds the position as the Director of Security for Safelite Group out of Columbus, Ohio. He currently is responsible for a variety of tasks including; physical security, security officer management, investigations, and asset protection. Lee has been responsible for global physical security and loss prevention operations and investigations, along with executive protection responsibilities. He has managed multi-million-dollar contract security service contracts and numerous physical security projects and installations. He also serves as a Deputy Chief Security Officer (CSO) through American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) CSO Roundtable.
